So, How does it feels to be a sex symbol?
I don't know anything about that. Turning 50 [in December 2004]
made me realize that is not the dress rehearsal. It really hits home: to enjoy everyday, to try, and live a good life, healthy life and keeping things simple. The sex symbol stuff, I don't think about.
Do you ever look back at your career?
I don't look back, never have. For what? To reminisce. Maybe when I'm older.
What's been your favorite role?
I enjoyed Training Day - it was my favorite part. I'm blessed to have had so many experiences and to have traveled the world. Going to Africa the first time for Cry Freedom had the biggest impact on me.
Is it true you're going to play Marvin Gaye in a movie?
I don't know what's happening to be honest. It's been around for a long time. I'm too old now, I think. I'd like to see it made, but I don't know if I want to do it.
Do you want to do comedy?
There's a clown in me that wants to get out. Most have said to me, "Why don't you do more comedies? You're real funny?
